Real Digital Media Selects Relevance to Advance its NEOCAST® Media Server Software
Relevance, Inc., a leading Ruby on Rails software development practice specializing in application product development, training and consulting, today announced the completion of its development project with Real Digital Media (RDM), a provider of next generation digital signage products for establishing point-of-purchase marketing, advertising and corporate communication networks.


The NEOCAST® Media Server is a web-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering that enables RDM customers to centrally manage large scale digital signage networks. Looking to deliver enhanced functionality, RDM was seeking to migrate to a more agile platform that could meet current user demands as well as streamline future development efforts. RDM chose to work with Relevance based on the firm’s proven track record as a Ruby on Rails development partner skilled in achieving high quality results against aggressive timelines.


The flexible nature of the Ruby on Rails-based platform built by Relevance allowed RDM to create a sustainable foundation for future development, innovation and integration with new technologies. This includes extending the platform through an API, allowing RDM to extend data, and potentially development, to its partners in the digital signage community.

BBDO Taps Maxim Color Technologies (MCT) for Cutting-Edge CGI Solution
Maxim Color Technologies (MCT), a leading NYC pre-media company serving top advertising and publishing firms, was tapped by worldwide advertising network BBDO to create a cutting-edge CGI solution for a project with Bank of America and Major League Baseball.

MCT was asked to create visuals with headlines composed of a baseball jersey-stitched typeface. The end result was to be the complete alphabet and a set of numerals in 14 different colors against a letter canvas background. The stitching and outline were treated as separate components to allow the creation of headlines matching every major league team logo color. The lettering was originally sewn by machine and photographed, but because the quality and consistency of the sewn letters varied, a cutting-edge solution was necessary.
